In summer 1997, I did an intership at Microcell labs and integrate decisions tree algo into ad (ancester of plearn). I meet and work under Samy Bengio..which turn into part-time work and another internship....Summer 1997
In summer 1999, I did an intership at Locus Dialog and learn about speech recognition and the importance of training dataset quality under Regis Cardin leadership and met Simona Grandrabur and met JLT (Jean-Luc Trepanier)Summer 1999
Most interesting research experience. I did lot of experiment to understand why deep architecture can't be trained properly. Push plean to its limit, develop flayers crazy tool and challenged plearn performance by competing with torch. Meet amazing researcher: Yoshua, Pascal Vincent, Ronan Collobert, Christian Jauvin, Gilles Caporossi etc.Summer 1999

My first blog. Some thoughts of a Machine Learning Practitioner on Software Development, Management, Team Building, Startups, Python, Agile Development, Data visualization... that will distract you from your end goals by making you less efficient but are critical to manage in order to succeed. Don't forget that long time adaptation to inefficient approaches can become your enemy. Let's try to empower others by sharing knowledge & personal experiences.
help lead Canada’s transformation into an AI superpower not only scientifically but also economically and morally by connecting more dots.
